If I feel fine after a car accident, should I still see a doctor?

Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

After an accident, many people with the adrenaline pumping and the excitement of the crash, feel that they aren’t injured and it’s only days or weeks later that they start to realize that they have an injury from the car accident.

After an accident it would be our suggestion, my suggestion that you do go see your primary care doctor, the doctor who’s familiar with you or go to the emergency room if you have a problem that’s more acute, and have them check out that problem. There’s nothing wrong with letting the doctor know you were in an accident, you were feeling okay, now this problem has come on and you want to be checked out. So despite the fact that a few days have gone by, there’s nothing wrong with following up with your own doctor. If you’ve been injured in an accident, contact a car accident lawyer from Rusk Wadlin Heppner & Martuscello, LLP.
